What Makes Someone Manglik
You're Manglik when Mars sits in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house, counted from your Lagna or from your Moon. Either one is enough.
Not every Manglik chart is the same. Mars in the 7th or 8th is high. The 1st or 4th is moderate. The 2nd or 12th is mild.
Then come the cancellations. Mars in its own sign, exalted, or with Jupiter cancels it outright. Softer rules only reduce it, unless two of them line up.

Mars in the 7th or 8th house is treated as high, the 1st or 4th as moderate, and the 2nd or 12th as mild. Cancellation rules can then reduce or cancel it.
What cancels Manglik dosha? +
Strong cancellations include Mars in its own sign (Aries, Scorpio) or exalted (Capricorn), Mars as Lagna lord or yogakaraka, and Jupiter with Mars. Weaker ones, like Jupiter's aspect or the Moon in a kendra, only reduce it unless two or more apply.
Does Manglik dosha end at 28? +
That's a popular belief, not a rule found in the classical texts. Many astrologers say the effect of Mars becomes milder after 28, but the placement in your chart does not change.

Traditionally a Manglik is matched with another Manglik so the doshas balance. If the dosha is cancelled or reduced in your chart, many astrologers allow a non-Manglik match after checking both charts.
